The GV60 just got a major upgrade. Genesis revealed “extensive enhancements” for the new GV60 on Wednesday, including added driving range, fun features, and plenty more.
Genesis UK reveals the new GV60 with big upgrades
Genesis is quickly emerging as a dark horse in the luxury EV market. It’s been almost four years since Genesis first unveiled the GV60, its first dedicated electric vehicle.
On Wednesday, Genesis revealed the new GV60 in the UK with a few notable upgrades. Right off the bat, you can see Genesis fine-tuned the front end with a new bumper and headlight design.
Like its other updated vehicles, the GV60 refresh features the brand’s signature Two Line headlamps with Micro Lens Array technology as standard. Two new 20″ and 21″ wheel designs are available with a total of 14 exterior color options.
The interior also received an overhaul. The redesigned, high-tech cockpit now includes a new 27″ connected car Integrated Cockpit (ccIC) infotainment system.
The ccIC display includes Genesis’ new suite of connected entertainment services, including Bloomberg Media, Bloomberg TV, Disney+, and Netflix.
Genesis also added a three-spoke heated steering wheel, which now includes Hands-On detection for added safety.
Like the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N and Kia EV6 GT, the new GV60 features an available Virtual Gearshift, which simulates the sounds and feel of shifting gears. It even includes a “hidden” Drift Mode feature, designed for use on closed courses.
Another new optional feature is a Digital Centre Mirror (DCM), which enables you to view live footage from rear cameras even if your rear window is obstructed.
The upgraded model can be specified with an Electronic Limited Slip Differential (E-LSD) and 180 kW electric motors at the front and rear, delivering up to 700 Nm of torque. Using Boost Mode, the GV60 can now hit 0 to 62 mph in just 4 seconds.
Powered by Genesis’ new 84 kWh battery, the single motor GV60 is now capable of a WLTP range of 348 miles. It can also recharge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes with a 350 kW fast charger.
Genesis will open orders for the new GV60 in the UK on July 1. The current model starts at £54,855 ($74,000) with a WLTP range of 321 miles.
For those in the US, the 2025 Genesis GV60 starts at $52,350, with an EPA-estimated range of 294 miles. Upgrading to the Dual Motor AWD model with 314 hp will cost you $55,850.
Genesis is currently offering a generous $11,500 EV Lease Bonus in the US. With leases starting at just $349 per month, the Genesis GV60 is one of the most affordable luxury electric SUVs on the market.
